Maybe your areas should start electing politicians that give a damn. My ability to thrive has certainly been in part by the extra funding my state gives to schools. I was able to complete an entire CNA course while still in high school, while it gave me both high school and college credits. Basically I had my first year of college free, paid for by the wonder democrats in Olympia.
I have no sympathy for the apathetic people living in rural areas getting high on meth and forgetting to vote in their interest, or even voting against it. I do have sympathy for you, however, because it seems like you're somewhat well rounded and have a better grasp on the people who are exploiting you to keep you poor and uneducated. Though I now see my immense opportunity has come at the hands of our good-meaning politicians, and I can't and never have had to grasp what it is like living in a republican nightmare.
Regardless, my convictions remain.
