Paying $10 vs paying $25 for headshots.

I used to work weddings. I think I did 150 or so before I moved on. Wedding photographers are wedding photographers because they can't get better work. All 250+ wedding photographers I worked with shared this sentiment.

If those photgraphers were skilled enough to hang out in an air conditioned studio all day with models shooting for Target, they would be.

Instead most of them struggle to book 6 a year and have to edit 1000-2000 pictures for less than 5 grand (usually 2-3).

They don't want to buy nice gear (Out of all those weddings I only met 2 shooting MF), most had 7Ds and Gen 1 non OS glass. This shows in their work and they know it, they just don't care.

There's a reason people use Hasselblads and Leica glass, it does look better. If people want to push the envelope on their craft they need to invest in their tools. Wedding photogs don't give a crap and it shows in their attitude and work.
