I think I had already hit peak a while ago, but over 3 years ago back when I still went on tumblr every once and a while there was this huge uproar about jared Leto getting an award for playing a transwoman while being "cis". The post I replied to was a whole bunch of nonsense about how transwomen are the only people who should play transwomen and that transwomen should also be playing "cis" women. And that no "cis" men should ever play a transwoman and they definitely shouldn't get an award for it. (Strange how there's no uproar when real women play transwomen on shows today. /s of course they're please with that, it doesn't make them look like creepy men with poorly shaved beards)

I basically responded that he was an actor who was acting (y'know, as the job is required) and that it is stupid to compalin about someone who apparently did a very good job. They even pretended he didn't speak about their community in the acceptance speech, when he did. (Not really a fan of his, but I am a fan of sticking to the actual turn of events)

I basically got at least 6 anonymous replies telling me that I'm a transphobic bigot who should shut up and "check my privelege". Funny enough, when I used the stupid site one of them told me to "check my privilege" on, I had pretty much no privilege. I knew that would happen which is why I pretended to play along. The funniest part is the people who tell you to do this always happen to be upper middle class straight white girls or boys. Do they expect me to have more privelege than them? Anyway, once they couldn't use privilege against me they disappeared.

The blog I had reposted from and added my reply was actually a trans"man" (wasn't one when I originally followed them, but suddenly they were the most marginalized of all) went full meltdown when I made the original comment about Jared Leto. At least 35+ comments for over a month about how they couldn't believe someone who followed the could say that (this is how I ended up with their followers harassing me) and comments about how they were crying and all this other crap to try and garner more sympathy. I think she even posted photos, but she deleted her account so I won't be able to find it.

I just went back to check all of this to see if this was accurate and I noticed that one of the ones who said I was a transphobe who needed to check my privelege is a 22 year old "lesbian" who somehow has the cognitive dissonance to complain about third wave feminism making men feel comfortable talking over women about women's concerns. She also posts a ton of anti lesbian queer positive crap. And the other is a 21 year old who goes by she/her and says nothing else about herself but I think the she/her is telling enough. I think one of the blogs one of them re blogs from is a "sun" or "moon" "lesbian".The rest were anonymous harassers.

Amazing. And just yesterday Jared Leto apparently made some pro trans comment. Funny how life works. I didn't even know that before I started typing this, I found it out when I looked him up so I could spell his name right.
