As his books were being published they were instantly being torn apart by the peoples he claimed to be writing about. There's so many better ways to pass the time than half assedly falling for an exposed con man's tricks. There is no Don Juan. There never was any Don Juan. Castaneda made all of it up. The fact that you can't see this is troubling, because you're basically still in his cult.
