Not even that. Democratic Socialism is an economic framework that still exists within a capitalistic system. Capital is still exchanged for goods and services, private ownership is still a thing. It combats laissez-faire capitalism which is naturally self destructive due to human nature.

It's like if money is the blood of the economy and the heart which pumps the blood through the economy is the working class. But these rich cells in the right leg have decided they want to horde all the blood for themselves and their progeny. There's not enough blood to pump, the heart stops working, the body dies. Socialist philosophy is set on making sure that doesn't happen.
