Redditor causes historical controversy by claiming Sanders supporters were heavily criticised on Reddit during the Democratic primary.

Most bernie subs don't link to other subreddits.

Because they dominate those other subreddits already. It's not even up for debate ; you can just search for bernie or sanders in /r/politics and sort any which way you want and it will be overwhelmingly supportive. The downvoted toys are usually the ones they make him look bad.

It's almost like many people think our current healthcare system is shit for anyone under the upper-middle class and that they feel the status-quo democrats invent shit "solutions."

This has nothing to do with it being a circlejerk. People have bitched about our healthcare since its inception; that doesn't make bernie the answer.

Even if short-term things get sabotaged by republicans, people at the very fucking least, would like the Overton window shifted leftward.

Well guess what? You have to show up to elections to do that.

Okay so maybe I don't see it for another 20-40 years, but maybe not compare a system that many other nations have to wanting a fucking magical pony.

Oh boy, the inevitable anti-clinton bitchfest. It was only a matter of time before you revealed your inner berniebro. Just an FYI, no other country on earth has bernie's healthcare plan. Two countries are single payer and neither of them cover everything including dental and vision; his does.

Democrats paid dearly just to pass the ACA and that didn't require multi-trillion dollar revenue, higher taxes on everyone, overturning the Hyde amendment, and changing the constitution of the United States to allow the federal government to levy state property taxes. Bernie's plan does.

That's what we call a magical pony, and the onus is on your to prove it exists. Saying it's inevitable doesn't make it true, and even if it is inevitable in "30-40 years" (well researched number I bet) Bernie will be long dead and so will his cult of personality.

Even with a great job with great benefits including health, vision, and dental (e.g. someone the system is more than adequately providing for) I still want a better solution and one that can be shared with others.

You and everyone else. But someone has to play the "mean bitch mom" and say "you can't always get everything you want when you want it", particularly when the people who are the closest to a constitutional convention are the ones who want to go back to how healthcare was pre-ACA and the people who demand free Healthcare for all only show up to vote once every 4 years, if that.

Blocked. Moving on from generic socialist bro-take #42097425997.
