Why do you even want that in the first place? You can play D2 now, the latest patch they released like five years ago adds modern resolution to the game, it's perfectly playable already. Whatever it is you want from Diablo 2 Remastered, you can probably get already without paying for it again.

Unless you want remastered version to fix all the broken shit like that awful walk/run system with a stamina bar; or pathetically small inventory/stash size that makes the game literally unplayable without PlugY; or no skill bar, etc, etc, etc? Well then that would be a completely different game and you might as well wait for D4.

If you want D2 remastered to be D2 without any changes, then you can just play D2. You don't need a remastered version. And if you want actually remastered version that fixes all the broken shit then of course it's going to have major changes to the game. You might not like it, but you already have exactly what you want.
