Same thing has happened at my company. I say happened because I was laid off last week. Finishing up an internal project that was necessary for client demos. Projects dried up, what was in talk diminished after the new year. “Town hall Q1” was cancelled for no reason at all the week prior. Idk what the fuck was happening at my company but this blindsided everyone that I was working with at the time and all of the people I reached out to on my 24 hour notice before losing access to everything. Record profits my ass. Economy is shrinking up. Be ready for 24 months of “maybe this, maybe that”. I’m going back into accounting. No more of this bullshit.
