Why is there so much misinformation in the fitness world?

Most can't see past the marketing of "healthy smoothie" and assume it's a product that is good for them. Reality is a lot of them is not all that different to drinking a can of Coke it terms of how it affects insulin and total sugar content. Coke may even be more of an appetite suppressant as fructose does not raise leptin compared to sucralose, and caffeine is an appetite suppressant.

Eating is very much emotional and social. To eat less we are taught and conditioned to think of as a punishment, most are therefore unwilling to diet as it's uncomfortable also. Not to mention sugar is addictive and people do suffer withdrawal symptoms / headaches and rashes.

As a ped user, I also believe excessive oestrogen from the contraceptive pill has negative affects on the body and brain, encouraging mood swings and over eating. Trying to convince my girlfriend to come off the pill and switch to anavar to get the results she wants instead of all these shitty diet pills she reads in cosmo or Is emailed from wowcher.
