The Kushner Family is known for being VERY rich, and for their "Charitable" organization that helps build internationally ILLEGAL settlements.

After a few years of the "business productive" marriage, Trump made Kushner SENIOR ADVISER to the President. A man with no relation to Trump(but who has TIGHT connections to Israeli Settlements), who just married his daughter a few years ago, was given one of the most powerful advisory positions in the world, and we're to assume Trump's advocacy of Israel, and their settlements is completely unrelated.

I don't think trump is TEMPORARILY back-tracking, for no reason. It is because he doesn't want to be viewed as shilling for Israel, which would severely hurt him, even among his base. People talk about Russian Connections. Trump prepared to be investigated in Russia. He stopped doing business there. Israel is not the same case. There is an Obvious Trail, linking trump to Israeli Settlements, and Israel, through marriage of his daughter to the Kushner Family.

Trump is old fashioned. He has a powerful family. Powerful families marry each other, in situations like this, to make alliances. To commoners, it may seem like a fairy tale, but the royals, and extremely rich still do it to this day.
