USA Today: "Biden should use the power of his office to encourage governors to end strict lockdowns in their states" "History will record the response to coronavirus as the greatest public policy fiasco of modern times."

This sub has been the only thing keeping me sane. My long time gf and I have constantly fought about covid rules. She's a total doomer, won't go anywhere, gets mad when I visit family, etc. Even when I show her the statistics of states with/without lockdowns, I'm just a conspiracy theorist, or if I show her examples of the elitist class blatantly breaking the rules they set, I'm just being a jerk....then today she was talking about how wonderful the inauguration was, and I said I really don't like biden or harris, she yelled and lectured me about how insensitive I am, and how I don't understand how monumental it is we have the firsy female vp. So because she's female, I guess I can't question her political views....I never thought politics would be a reason I couldn't be with someone, as a centrist, but I feel like this may be it. I truly think covid hysteria caused this. It made smart people act with no common sense, and dehumanize anyone who disagreed...I just wanted to thank this sub for being my one outlet, and a place where I could here some voices of reason.
