They have simply lost shitloads of their credibility since then.

The Iraq documents were a big scoop because they were real, relevant, and properly processed by real journalists.

Since then Wikileaks has gone to increasingly shady stuff, become less relevant than ever, with less and less journalistic oversight. The DNC/Podesta/Clinton material barely contained anything relevant, even though subreddits like the_donald yelled SENSATIONAL and CRIMINAL at things they understood nothing about. For example when they found an email in which clinton staffers discussed whether or not it's reasonable to voluntarily decline campaign contributions by foreign registered agents which are perfectly legal and transparent.

They even hosted the Gufficer "Clinton Foundation leaks" that were just refurbished material from an older DNC leak.

Even though they release a shitton of data, the density of relevant material is damn near zero, so nobody properly processes it and therefore noone cares anymore.

The relation to Russian sources who repeatedly doctored material makes it just worse.
