Where Do You Go When Your Union Signed Away Your Collective Bargaining Agreement Rights?

I am a skilled computer operator with 22 years of seniority and experience thanks. So not only would I make it in the private sector, I would excel.

Then do it. Why wouldn't you want to excel? But I don't know what a "skilled computer operator" is. Usually people have titles and specialize in certain software(s). Most non grunt jobs are computer based now anyways.

because clearly you are an angry, underpaid, grunt worker in the private sector.

Millwright --> Instrument Mechanic --> to Mechanical P.Eng. Company pulled me outta the union, gave me a staff position and paid for a huge chunk of my schooling and gave me flexibility to balance school and work. They like to do that when they see someone with high potential stifled in the union ranks. Promote from within, right. We're looking at giving the same deal to one of our electricians pretty soon here. She's already hitting the books to upgrade her calculus.

I could have bumped a person with less seniority out of a job I am qualified for.

Ha. There it is. Fuck the people with less seniority. My brothers keeper and all that bullshit.
