this comment may get downvoted to oblivion but:

- Zelensky can also be "stopped" for millions to survive (either he agrees to some conditions for peace or gets found by russian kill squads). Yes, I 100% am on Ukraine's side on this and I know from all my Ukrainian friends that surrendering is not an option, they are the victims here, but just talking theory.

- Russia as a country would not accept losing to Ukraine simply due to the embarrassment on a Global scale, they would rather fight out a long costly war instead then a humiliating defeat. It's also very possible that Putin is not making decisions entirely alone, and cutting his head would not stop the "Hydra" of oligarchs running the country that are in his counsel. It's even possible that he could be replaced by an even more brutal and unbalanced leader.

- Zelensky is doing everything he can for his countrymen's morale, but in doing so he's fearmongering Europe into directly joining the conflict. Poland was ready yesterday to go in there, they hate the Russian government and what it did to their country (and for very good reasons).

- Ukraine keeps saying that Russia wants all of Europe, but it's unrealistic, they cant even handle one country, let alone all of them. The most believable threat scenario is Moldova (who, surprise suprise, also cannot join NATO because of the Transnistria occupied territory (same tactic employed with Ukraine - keeping countries in unresolved conflict to disqualify them from joining)

- At the end of the day, it's all these innocent people men/women/children that are either killed, family killed or have to leave their country and their livelihoods are destroyed. Find a solution make some costly compromises and leave pride behind and stop this shit. I don't see how prolonging this conflict benefits anyone but the military industrial complex.
