Your feelings are valid. A lot of people dream about that moment for many years and when it doesn’t feel special or romantic it’s disappointing that it didn’t live up to the dream. My husbands proposal to me was very unexciting and I was honestly upset about it and cried afterward because he KNEW what kind of proposal I wanted and did something that he said “felt like us” instead. Like I know he was trying to do something that he considered romantic but it didn’t feel romantic at all and I wish I had a cute story about my proposal to tell my future kids, etc but I don’t. I totally get how you’re feeling, and I think you should tell him how you’re feeling if you feel comfortable. I did and my husband totally understood even though he was hurt at first, and that’s why he let me plan engagement photos, so that I could still have something special and romantic to show for a very mundane proposal.
