As someone who has done this drive twice, I wouldn't have stopped.

The number 1 cause of death for women 100 years ago was child birth, and I am not qualified to deliver a child. So come hell or high water I am getting my wife to a hospital where other humans who have dedicated their entire lives to delivering babies are present and available.
