I don't necessarily support the bad habit, but I'd like to thank the smokers who do this.

I’m not a smoker, though I gave myself “secondhand smoke breaks” for the decade or so I worked a warehouse. The idea that you’re going to get 5-10 minutes outside not actively “working” seemed to my coworkers and myself seemed to take some of the tension out of the day, but going back in just knocks you back to being more anxious than you were. It seems like the anxiety of non-smokers was more evenly spread throughout the day and the smokers/break-takers experienced more of a roller coaster ride. Huge generalization, I know (and from a non-smoker, but am on ADHD meds and get cravings). Just a thought that my coworkers and I shared throughout the years.
