Engaged/married woman - how were you proposed to? Was it everything you hoped?

Every year we do a "tourist day" where, even though we've both lived here for our whole lives, we do things in NYC that usually only tourists do (walk the Brooklyn bridge, visit times square, empire state building, even city tours etc). We also go to the Rockefeller tree every Christmas time. So we planned our city day, went to fao schwarz, the Nintendo store, and the NBC store. By this time it was torrential downpour with some hail thrown in. I was miserable and wanted to skip the tree picture. He insisted and I begrudgingly went where he rushed out a speech about how much he loves me and held out a ring asking me to marry him.

My response was a very charming "you better get down on one knee!" (Tbc bc I'm sure People will call me an ass, I didn't say it in any serious tone), so he did, and I accepted. My favorite part, though, was that there was a group of I guess high schoolers and one of them said "wow! That was just like a movie" which is literally exactly what I wanted in my proposal.
