Ex-Swedish PM fires back at Trump over A$AP Rocky - "The rule of law applies to everyone. Political interference in the process is distinctly off limits! Clear? If Trump tries to obstruct justice in his own country he will be in deep trouble with the very principles of the US constitution."

in one of the fairest and freest democracies in the world.

That held him for two weeks without bail because they've decided he's a flight risk while they conducted an investigation, into a situation that occurred over 20 minutes for two entire weeks. This is after he showed up to the police station voluntarily to sort it out and was instead immediately arrested. So, it also makes sense that they're holding him in solitary without any visitation or phone calls. They were supposed to notify the American embassy but didn't.

In total they've held him for three weeks without charges pending an investigation, and just now at the deadline decided to file assault charges even though they've had ample time to see Rocky's own evidence that this is likely a case of self-defense or at the very least a misunderstanding that isn't worth the level of effort that's being shown to the situation now.

I mean, if you really want to be seen as "one of the fairest and freest democracies in the world" then maybe you should just hit ASAP up with a fine, ban him from Sweden for the next year, and show him to an airport?

What's exceptionally fair or free about their actions so far? The only case you can actually make and still hold to this point is that whichever police unit ended up in charge of this case is filled with so many blatantly incompetent officers that they can't bring this situation to a resolution in less than 2 months.

It's absurd, almost equally absurd is the fact that I've now done several minutes worth of research into this total bullshit non-situation.
