Why is it that feminists get offended when I tell them that feminisim is a movement only for women and girls and men need a movement only for men and boys?

Because I get destroyed every time I even hint to the fact that misandry is damaging to young males. The response is always "Misandry doesn't exist" or "It doesn't matter when misogyny is worse." Or if you ever bring up how often DV cases with men are dismissed either by investigator or the court system itself, the argument always comes back to "It happens more to women." Yes, of course it happens more to women, but that doesn't mean men don't need help too. And it's always self proclaimed feminists that push these arguments. So we have one of two issues: We can't agree on fundamental issues between the sexes or nearly every feminist I've met is only feminist in name alone (though I admit there have been some truly wonderful ones).

And before anyone goes there, these points I have brought up haven't been in counterpoints to arguments. It's just pointing them out here and there where applicable. In a non-challenging manner.
