FNC Yellowstar about his new team

Rough translation:

Since Worlds, we had little informations on fnatic, but we felt there may be changes, how did that made you feel in the last months?

YellOwStaR: After we lost to Alliance at the end of the split, we were commited to train for worlds and succeed, but it turns out we didn't have what it takes to get out of the groupstage. After that, some members had a hard time to get over it, and the situation already started to deteriorate after our performance at the end of the summersplit.

We are all close to eachoters, so we talked about the situation and everyone decided to have their own "future", and I can only accept that decision since I want to play with players that share the same goals and not push anyone.

Did your old teamates leaving was decided for a while or did everything happenned lately?

YellOwStaR: We all discussed about our projects so everyone knew about everyone "future". Things started to get worst during the Korean bottcamp because we were playing against very good established teams and we didnt want to lose. However, making the same mistakes again and again and seeing that the team didnt really get better accelerated the situation degradation.

Since we're all close, we talked about the future of everyone and on splitting according to everyone's ambition and projects. So we discussed everything and splitted in good terms.

How does it feels to be the last surviving member, do you feel like you're continuing something or starting anew?

YellOwStaR: I decided to do it. I have to admit, the original team with xPeke, sOAZ, Cyanide and nRated really allowed me to get into the unique experience that is professional LoL. Without Fnatic structure, my professionnal carreer as a player would maybe never have started, and for that I'm very grateful.

Take on challenges do not scares me, with work and ambition you always suceed eventually - and I think we'll suprise more than one. With the knowledge I acquired,I cant say I'm starting from nothing, and my teamate also brings new knowledge to the team.

Did you plan this new fnatic roster for a while or did you only finalize it recently?

YellOwStaR: After worlds, I knew I had to find new teamates, but not 4 at the same time. So it happenned very fast during the preseason (note: not sure of this term, he used "periode du mercato"). We spent lots of time in Korea for the bootcamp, so we discovered lots of good players.

Fnatic and I discussed about the potential players, I gave them leads to explore on the level of these young talents, and now we have new players that are not known a lot, but only for now.

Was the all french bot lane planned or accidental? Have you known Steelback for a while?

YellOwStaR: It was absolutely accidental, I only look for someone skilled, respectful and that wants to progress. someone that can take critisism well, be it on his talents or flaws.

Communication is key in teamwork, being able to say anything between teamates helps and I assure you that there is potential. I hesitated a lot on the ADCs because Rekkles was really strong during our matches, and to replace him we needed someone really strong mechanicly and mentally. Thats why I took him when I discovered him in SoloQ

You're actually in Belgium to bootcamp with the new players, isnt the communication with the Koreans complicated? Do you think you will learn something by being with them?

YellOwStaR: Communication was perfect since the start, I'll let you see their level of english during our introduction. One of them is still very young and dont really know a lot of english, but adapts very well. We do not yet have encountered a problem, be it communicating or in game.

Their experience adds crucial information on the game and I love it! The difference between EU and KR, its the work mentality. they are very hard working and critical. They train a lot to better their flaws themselves.

What are your goals this season

YellOwStaR: Be at the top, I would feel like wasting my time if I had any other objective.

How do you feel about being separated from sOAZ after so many years?

YellOwStaR: Its sad to leave someone whith whom you spent a lot of time. I' very happy to have brought him to the world of esport and to have been able to play with someone as talented. I wish him a godd carree

Thank you, Yellow! Thanks to everyone that believe in us, we will not disapoint! See you jaanuary 22.
