Giving birth tomorrow and husband refuses to speak to me over something petty.

Speaking as a man who plays games competitively, certain games are a sport. Turning off the Monitor or TV during a COMP game is like tripping someone on purpose in basketball. Not quite the same obviously but that’s what it feels like in the moment. You’re playing with real people who are counting on you to do your part for the sake of the team. It’s not as cut and dry as people make it out to be. It’s not “just a game”. People make millions doing it and people stake their entire lives on the ability to be great at it.

Now is this dude overreacting? Absolutely. But it definitely irks me that people truly do not understand “gaming” has an actual real place in our society. In this instance the guy obviously should be far kinder and recognize when he’s in the wrong. I’m more speaking to “JackNACALM”.
