lol NO NO NO. Please understand I don't hate people who have tats or cats or eat meats and fats. I'm more reacting to particular acquaintances of mine who either don't know, or don't care about some aspects of using animals, but do have issues about other uses of animals and proselytize about it.

I personally, don't care about tats, its your individual expression of your individuality or whatever reason you do it. I don't know, I don't have tats. People practice on pig skin, which doesn't require slaughtering a pig to use it, the pigs are already dead. I would much rather, if an animal is killed, all parts of it used rather than just using a tiny bit, such as sharks hunted for their fins and the rest allowed to swim off and die, or an elephant killed for a tusk and nothing else.

My philosophy is to try to stay out of people's way and be a little more indirect about things when it comes to the vegan thing. I'm told that we need more people in people's faces, but I disagree with that approach and get yelled at quite a bit about it when I discuss that information can be exchanged without resorting to the kind of tactics that many vegans do.

Mostly I think its because I'm older. I'm not a teenager or in college anymore where these things seem to critical. If asked about it I tend to discuss it more from a health aspect than a moral one. I certainly don't possess a moral high ground to dictate to anyone.

Personally I don't like killing animals. However I have a "hypocrisy" I guess of my own. I'm against animal testing for makeup and things like that, however when it comes to human lives, I don't have an issue with pig valves used for heart patients, or testing medications on animals. I don't like it, but I'd rather a live human than a dead one, and I have to balance which lives are more important that others, and I feel human beings are more important, when it comes to lives, than a test animal.

These are some of the issues my compatriots have with me, that I don't devalue humans, which many of them appear to do. I don't hate people enough I guess.
