How do I tell my friend that not tipping is incredibly rude.

Oooh I triggered you, didn't I?

And their perspective doesn't count and yours is the only valid one? You realize servers can be customers too right?

Of course their perspective counts, but their perspective is skewed. I think I deserve more money than I make in my career as well. Everyone does.

They didn't actually say that. Sounds like you interpreted their post that way and are now feeling defensive about your choice to tip 15%.

They said 20% is the minimum tip. Obviously that means 15% isn't good enough. Do you have any critical thinking skills?

I never said I tip 15%. I said 15% is the standard. When I go to restaurants, it's on special occasions at nice restaurants with waiters who actually try, so I tip closer to 25% on average.

Interesting how you're willing to completely dismiss someone else's comment on what they consider the standard to be and set a blanket tip standard, disregarding the salient fact that tip standards vary by city.

Tip standards do vary by region. In Hawaii, the standard tip is 11%. There are no cities where the standard tip is 20%. http://lifehacker.com/this-is-how-much-people-really-tip-across-the-us-1521388393

Show me some polls/surveys/studies, etc to prove me wrong and I will believe you. Until then, you're a whiny server who thinks you should be paid much more than you deserve.
