I think Jess would have edged out Jordan with her D value by 0.1 clearly but that execution was not it. All the folks parroting artistry, there's a legit checklist for those deductions (yes deductions you don't get bonus for having more of it), so if somebody can point out that gap on the basis of that checklist I'm all ears. Excusing this as subjectivity is BS when there's clear cut areas of judging outlined. I think more so Judges are carried away with Jess 's aura which is great she's clearly put the work but when you've a fixed system you can't mark someone down just because they didn't reach 100% when they just have to fulfill the requirements of the code, going above and beyond is a personal preference (e.g. Brooklyn Moors). I hope they present artistry deductions separately from now on so that everybody can see how they took off points instead of phantom deductions which creates this kind of disbelief in scoring.
