LPT: Tired of working from a coffee shop? Check out your local public library, or even college libraries in the area. Some are quite beautiful, offer free wifi, and quiet enough to allow you to concentrate

When I was a student I had to rely on the library for some hours during the day. I woke up very early because we were living outside of town with very poor internet, it would take about one hour to reach the building by my school on foot and I would spend no more than one hour-ish (two max) inside.

I myself sometimes fell asleep on the books (my books), but never the less this happened: the library would offer computers with internet for 30 mins, I had a yellow high-visibility jacket at the time and I sat at the desk. I was around 20 something minutes in, mostly answering e-mails but some old friends kept hanging on ...MSN, so I had this smile on my face and I was very visible.

This crazy American lady (I live in Norway) started to shout in English at the desk that now was her turn, that some of us were logged in 20+ minutes in and she counted. I wish it wasn't me, but I was the one with the high visibility jacket, the weird grin and a roll of tp under the sole of my shoe.

Yes, I don't hang in libraries anymore.
