My daughter playing violin.

EDIT: I don't mean to sound rude, but I really don't understand these overreacting comments I am getting like "dude it's just a child" and "can't you accept a kid just having fun" or "stop being so hard" "dude shes 7.

I started playing when I was 5 and unfortunately played with bad technique for too long so I ended up not developing as good as I could have and I also got some nasty injuries because of my technique. I said these things to help, not something else. My point with giving these tips was absolutely not nitpicking or take anything away from the beautiful picture. I can understand the parents being sensitive to anyone criticising their child (as evidented by this thread) but why so many people react negatively of simply commenting about the technique is beyond me. Are people not allowed to share tips when they see something wrong just because it's a child? You'll never learn anything if you can't criticise kids because it isn't the "nice thing to do" or something. Sorry but I don't understand that mindset at all. I wish I was more heavily criticised as a child practising. God how great I would have been. To the parents: I wasn't trying to sound hard and critical, I was just trying to help. Nice picture and all, but I think it's pretty evident how sensitive you are being to anyone criticising your child.
