There are some people who believe 1. that their broad worldview is correct (to the point they're very unlikely to ever significantly change it) and 2. that all argument around it is basically meaningless showmanship for varying agendas and biases essentially. He doesn't think there's anything wrong with doing what he does, because he's convinced that's all anyone else does too. And he doesn't need to do better, because he's already right.
