Ocasio-Cortez: Paul Ryan got called a 'genius' when he was elected at 28, I get accused of being 'a fraud'

I feel this hard!! A few months ago I made a proposal to a client, the last email I sent was telling them they had to pull the permit because our company wasn't a contractor. Fast forward a month - client goes over my head to get another answer - still gets the same response, but they prefer dealing with a rep who's "experienced", who is a man, but I've actually got more experience and I'm guiding this male rep through negotiations. Today he told me "wow those people are dicks, I'm throwing them back to you", I replied sarcastically .."I'm just a girl - what do I know?". I'm 52 and dealing with this double standard for years. So what Ocasio-Cortez is going through with this bullshit nit picking is endemic of something deeper. Failure to let go of the reigns, god forbid a woman has a valid point. Too much fragile masculine ego out there and then we wonder why the state of the world doesn't get better.
