The fact that this movement has the support of almost every major corporation and by extension their billionaire owners as well as the Democratic party should let you know its just a political play. Especially when those same Dems just voted to give more money to these same DHS officers and expand their surveillance powers. The only concession they made was the right to remove some stupid confederate statues.

Republicans get to play their Law and Order card. Dems get to play their fighting for the oppressed card. This is being carefully managed. As soon as you see any sort of threat to the actual establishment, they will do their best to squash it. Capitalists wont cede any ground outside of some superficial identity politics nonsense.
