Rant Wednesday

It's a mixture of a few things. Health concerns, integrity, and admittedly, some envy.

Health Concerns: I don't want my friend to die at the age of 40 because of a cardiac event related to steroid abuse earlier in life. I also don't want him to have to deal with the potential side effects of injecting some shit synthesized in a "lab" over seas somewhere. He's not getting this stuff from a doctor, this isn't TRT--he just wants to be big. And he is being coached by his huge bodybuilder friend who's breathing, skin coloration, and physical stamina indicate an underlying heart condition, that will probably kill him if keeps bridging cycles and injecting more compounds into his ass.

Integrity: he used to talk mad shit about guys on gear, and was processing just fine. And given that he's not competing, nor does he have an plans to (that he's shared with me...), what's the point? Again, this is more of a subjective moral dilemma, but I think it can be said objectively that he's not doing his body any favors here, by increasing his risk of cardiovascular disease, prostate cancer, impotence and sterilization. Not to mention the frequent side effects, even with a proper PCT; gynecomastia (at least temporarily), acne, gonadotrophy, etc. Fuck it, rambling about health concerns again.

Envy: Of course I don't want this guy to sky rocker past me in the gains department, but honestly who's to say this wouldn't happen anyways. Genetics are a bitch sometimes. Some people gain fast, some slow.

I'm still light-years ahead of this guy on all my lifts, 100+ lbs on each of the big three. So it wouldn't be any time soon, but come one, I don't know a single person who has only ever run one cycle. It's usually a sustained habit until they can't get any more, and are forced into TRT because their testosterone production shut down off cycle--trust me, I see this a lot in the office.

This is the whole point of the rant thread though, isn't it. So I can just go off the fucking handle about things that have little to no influence in my day to day life, but still bother me anyways.
