After reading all these comments I gotta say to you all this is not normal. There is a better standard of living, it is out there. I’m from California originally. From woodland, but visited sac many many times. Growing up I was always surrounded by homeless, it was so sad, but then I joined the service and was placed in SC. It’s not the best place and I miss some aspects of California, but let me tell you, the parks are safe! Walking, hiking everything. It’s not as out of control like it is in California. The roads are decent, people are sweet and familiar. It’s nothing like the torture Californians go through daily. I hate seeing my home state suffer and I feel for you all.
