Do you think there realy was "just" a guy named Jesus?

The historical question is whether the germ of the Christ cult was founded by a guy named Jesus or not. There's no evidence, and no way to guess. Some cults start with a guy who gets deified by his followers, and some start with a guy who makes up a story about a deity, and the end result is the same.

It's also irrelevant. The psychology of imaginary friend Jesus would work the same if there was a guy or not, and the churches as a social phenomenon would work the same too.

Also worth noting, if there was some cult founder named Jesus who got the ball rolling, he'd have been like all the other cult founders -- Joseph Smith, L Ron Hubbard, Bagwan Rajneesh -- a con artist out to fuck bitches, make money.
