I know we're all just trying to get help, but this made me nervous to say anything else...

That she didn't think she was raped is irrelevant when the interviewer is not asking if she was raked. That's ridiculous. You read the instrument. I can't imagine why you would say such a thing. If an interviewer asks, "Have you ever had sex when you were drunk," the appropriate answers are "yes" or "no". There is no box to check for "yes, but I don't think I was raped." This is how the designers of such studies manipulate you. They code all yeses as rapes whether the woman thinks she was raped or not. Your response could have been "that's bullshit. The CDC should not mislead, and frighten women with manipulated data." Instead, you blame the survey respondents.

Yes, I think a vast number of women are eager to describe incidences which are not rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment as rape, sexual assault, or sexual harassment. When they happen to you, and to others. You are one of those women. You are obviously deeply emotionally attached to the idea if trumpeting the most bombastic narrative you can. You are so eager that you posted the conclusion, and defended it rabidly, insisted it's valid, before you even read the report. You admit this. You didn't need to read the report. You saw the headline and went into a tizzy because it gratifies your desire to see women as weak, helpless victims and men as marauding monsters. Even when you read the study, you refused to acknowledge that it's bullshit. After I pointed out why, you continue in your state of denial. When you saw "1/5 women experience rape or attempted rape," you couldn't wait to scream "1/5 WOMEN ARE RAPED." It was gratifying for you to exaggerate all of the cases of attempted rape into actual rape. The real number of actual rapes wasn't big enough for you. You are not alone. An enormous number of women have the same bias, and it gets expressed in countless ways, from voting to convict innocent men when you sit on a jury because you inflate the facts that support a a conclusion that sex occurred into a conclusion that forced sex occurred. This bias is present when you advocate for bullshit zero tolerance policies in schools because you exaggerate normal masculine play into potential crime and you love to protect imaginary victims. You love to invent stories about human trafficking and spend millions and millions of dollars on prevention, treatment and law enforcement, and when you can't find any real victims, you redefine the term to include ordinary pimping of voluntary prostitutes so that you have something to be enraged about. (Unless the pimp is female, then we say she is a victim of an upbringing in the patriarchy. See, women are ALWAYS victims, and men are ALWAYS the abusers. Or if the prostitute is male. Then, well, fuck them, they're just criminals.).

This problem of inventing fictitious offenses and exaggerating minor ones into major ones is encouraged by feminists such as yourself. You live nothing more than to pretend to be victims. Take a look at this link, not only OP's ridiculous story, but all of the comments. I am sure if you heard this story from your roommate, you would repeat it in dramatic fashion all your life. "Oh my God! I know all about rape from my own experiences! A man tried to rape my roommate!" And your feminist friends would repeat the story and tell their own until you were all in a frenzy. But what actually happened? A woman talked to a man in a bar, lost control of her faculties, and he escorted her out. This, according to the vast number of women, who are just like you, is automatically taken to be (1) a rape attempt, and (2) use of a date rape drug. But we don't know that any drug was used. OP doesn't even remember how much she drank. And it's far, far more likely that the man was helping her. How about this scenario: woman talks to man at bar. Woman is shit face drunk. Man says, you can't take care of yourself. I'm taking you to a taxi. When he gets to the street, he is lambasted by the other ladies who assumed he meant to harm her, told this bullshittery story to OP the next day, who then posted it on redditt where the commenters believe it without question and immediately attack him. Now, when the CDC calls OP and asks if she has experienced attempted rape, she will say yes. That's how you get your bullshit 1/5 number. And you say this is valid! Then, people like you are going to demonize all men as potential rapists because you have a study to prove it! And you have experience! You read about this in redditt ALL THE TIME! It's happening EVERYWHERE! Men are drugging and raping! Never leave your drink uncovered!

But over 95 perecent...read that again...95 percent (some studies 100%) of these stories unravel. The woman says she was drugged. The blood test says she wasn't. Doesn't matter because all you care about is that they were ALL VALID rape attempts according to the CDC.

Do I think ALL women are dying for an excuse to squeal rape? No. Do I think you are? Yes. Do I think there are millions more like you in the US alone? Yes.
