A woman fainted at a Bernie Sanders rally in Birmingham, Alabama. Instead of continuing his speech, Bernie waited until the paramedics came to take her away and make sure she was fine. A man for the people, everyone! So classy!

Sure. My main issue is Supreme Court Justices - I want more Justices like Kagan and Sotomayor than Thomas and Scalia. Right now, there are so many issues where the Justices line up 5-4 or 4-5. We are at a critical period in Supreme Court jurisprudence. For example, narrow majorities support Citizen's United (campaign finance) and the decision upholding the death penalty (narrow 5-4 decision). Consequently, I want a Democrat like Bernie or Hillary in the White House.

Part of me wants to support Bernie. It's a close decision. He's a nice man, very genuine, and supports many of my favorite issues. However, I don't think he would fare well in a general election. He is uncomrtable talking about issues other than climate change and economic inequality, he tries to tie everything back to economic inequality instead of answering the question posed, he struggles with minority voters, and the label "socialist" is dangerous because polls show that 70% of Americans don't want a socialist in the White House. Hillary has her own risks of course (personal baggage, e-mails, etc) but I find her slightly more electable than Bernie.

Furthermore, Hillary's agenda is much more realistic than Bernie. Sanders can't get his ideas through Congress. The House at least will be in GOP hands. When asked how he plans to get his agenda through Congress, Bernie says the people will demand it and an economic revolution may break out. That kind of pie-in-the-sky thinking concerns me.

But it is a very close decision. Hillary has tons more personal scandals and Bernie sounds like a nice man (much more genuine than Hill). I may have come off like a Sanders hater in this thread because of the ridiculous pro-Sanders post, but I like both candidates and would prefer them 10000x over Trump or Cruz.

What is your reasoning? I assume you support Bernie. I am interested.
