Chicago Police: 4 in custody after man tied up, tortured on Facebook Live

Well yeah, because it's essentially a rebuttal of the whole idea. rNews has swung more to the right over the last year or two, I understand that you may not see it right this second. I can assure you I've had debates with people who think this way on rPolitics and other places, I could dig through my post history to find them had I more time. It was not a fringe position, though I have no doubt that you won't see it come up again until this story recedes from the media spotlight. Once it does, I sincerely believe that you will come across the opinion with frequency, as I did.

I suppose it matters more that we agree that the idea is wrong, but it's frustrating to see people deny that this opinion is being taught in universities. Obviously you shouldn't accept anecdotes, but I've heard it out of the mouths of several professors in the lower level general education courses, and it is the mainstream view in philosophy and sociology departments, let alone feminist/gender study ones.

Last minute additions, my google-fu is finally warming up:

Vice: It's literally impossible to be racist to a white person

HuffPo says you cannot be racist towards a white peson, was the first result under "Can you be racist to a white person" in Google

Type of posts I've seen all over reddit, but searching tumblr was easier than digging through old debates I've had
