Constanly switching from sober to drunk

You cannot say anything. It is his problem and not yours. Please understand that it is his responsibility. If you met him in college, and he was the guy always passed in dorm hallways in the morning or if he was the guy that needed his stomache pumped 3 times a year. Would you have dated him then? Go back to your core values and write down a list of boundaries....for example, I will not allow drunk people within 2 feet of me. Or something like this. Or, i will not allow my life to be wrecked by a drunk...or I WILL NOT ALLOW DRUNK PEOPLE IN THE SAME HOUSE AS ME....etc. Look at your real core values and how you can respect yourself enough to stand up to your own values. HE IS GOING TO KEEP DRINKING and even if he does stop he will need 5 years of sober and recovery from his 30 years of adult drinking. Do you honestly think he will even live another few years? This alcohol crap kills people all the time. MY PARTNER OF 11 YEARS IS DYING right now. He will prob die soon from a heart attack/sleep apnea and liver issues. The drunk person will WRECK YOUR LIFE. tell yourself ..YOU DESERVE A GOOD LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
