Daily Simple Questions Thread - August 09, 2021

I'm working on searching through here but thought I'd post here as well since the info here is so vast.

I have no where to start on a weightlifting for weight loss plan.

I have a barbell, dumbbells, looking to buy a curl bar, a benchpress bench, two kettlebells (same weight), a fan bike, and a planet fitness membership. I don't mind PF for the general stuff but prefer barbell and stuff at home. Just felt more comfortable.

My initial goal is 50 lbs, then 100 lbs, then see where I feel comfortable and maintain. I'm not looking to get big muscles, I'd prefer to be leaner, but I want to feel strong, and build enough muscle to help prevent loose skin (I'm assuming that helps).

Some basic questions...

I know days are geared towards certain things (like leg day)...does it matter what order those days go in or should I just group exercises that focus on an area and dedicate a day?

I have videos, sites, posters, etc that go over different exercises. Say there are 10 core exercises. Should I be doing all 10 or find the 3 or 4 I like and can do well? That seems to be how most programs that I've seen are.
