Did you know that your cracked driver's license can net you a $465 ticket?

This is just sick.

Here in Calgary I used to see check stops all the time. They are gone now probably because these new acts net much more money with less effort.

I mean why stand around for hours at a time at a check stop to make no revenue, when you can drive around the city making money hand over fist for little crap like this.

I got my insurance renewed and the lady told me to make sure I didn't carry both insurance slips at the same time. Seems someone she knows got a ticket for that.

Story goes, the guy got pulled over and when asked for his insurance, he was carrying the new one and the old one in his wallet, he took them both out, gave them a look and handed the officer the new one and pocketed the expired one.

Well that was a ticket for something I can't recall the correct name, carrying an expired insurance card I believe(don't quote me on that, I honestly don't remember what ticket he got). Just for having both of them at the same time in his wallet.

I don't agree with any of these kinds of traffic violations. They are money grabs.
