Gavin McInnes loses his shit during a debate.

So I have pretty much zero idea about who anyone in this video is. And also, I'm a PhD a student in physiology and obviously very much not anti vax. But.. If a grad student wrote a first author paper on a topic that later developed to be a big commercial product, I'd think they contributed alright. As a grad student myself, I'm so fed up of people always attributing ideas and success to the prof/PI/industry group leader when the reality is that the PhD student developed a giant part of the idea and did practically the entire work for the publication. Of course details get messy, as sometimes you have terribly lazy uncreative PhD students, but in light of how much injustice PhD students get as a whole, I'm willing to default that we should assume the PhD student did the biggest contribution to a paper unless proven otherwise.

P.s. In science, it's pretty much a unicorn phenomenon that one paper leads a whole concept, it's often about a nanoscopic piece of the whole picture, but still... They contributed.

Also to reiterate, I know nothing about the people in the video or who they're talking about, so just speaking in general.
