How are today's youth supposed to give a fuck when the world has fucked us over?

Seriously, like I’m sorry…I’m young too but what we have now is nothing compared to what our grandparents and maybe parents went through. We aren’t being drafted. We aren’t in a world war. We aren’t in a Great Depression and if we ever are, it won’t be anything like what people endured in the ‘30s. People in the US aren’t starving to death on a mass scale. Our loved ones aren’t dying from tuberculosis, child mortality is the lowest it’s ever been, our young men have more prospects than working in a mine and dying at age 50 from black lung, our young women have more prospects than being barefoot and pregnant…these posts are a joke.

This generation is quite literally among the most blessed and privileged and still finds a way to complain and want to give up. This is frankly the result of people never having an actual struggle. People who came before us endured things unimaginably traumatic and they managed to step up and get through it…
