LPT: Despite what you see on TV just because you check into a facility on your own, does not mean you can leave anytime you want.

It's not a hypothetical death. My grandfather's, father's, uncle's and brother's suicides were VERY fucking real. Had they actually had the proper treatment they might all still be here. They may have been held against their will but it could ultimately have the benefit of them still being here, learning and living like the rest of us. Growing into something beneficial instead of ending it all so prematurely before they realized how much life really has to offer. You may call my family "sausage" being made but all I see from you is a person who doesn't understand love and loss. All you see is the politics and none of the actual damage. The U.S. medical system is fucked but it's people like you who only care about being right in a political sense that are fucking it up.

When you actually learn loss , try turning that person into a fucking "sausage" and see how you actually feel about it especially knowing that something could have been done to stop it entirely.
