This might be more serious

Literally every word of this is a lie

When the whistleblower's statement was finally released, it was a whole bunch of "I heard from this one guy that this might have happened"

Umm, no. Firstly, he said "I do not have direct firsthand knowledge of ALL instances", which indicates:

  1. He DOES have firsthand knowledge of some instances

  2. He goes on to say that what he does not have firsthand knowledge of is corroborated by multiple independant sources.

And then Trump dropped the transcript of the call he made with Ukraine's leader and it was the opposite of what the media was claiming.

Except... Trump DIDN'T release a transcript. He released edited notes in place of the transcript. Furthermore it was revealed today that the actual word-for-word transcript was moved from where such things are supposed to be kept into a seperate server intended for items involving national security—despite the fact that there were no national security issues in the phone call. Trump has been hiding politically damaging information in places intended for classified intelligence.

Trump has literally admitted to the vast majority of the allegations. His defense at the moment essentially requires treating the fact that he froze funds earmarked for Ukraine, then demanded an investigation into his political enemies, as pure coincidence. Even his stated reason (to make other people pay more) is a brazen lie. Europe has given FAR more money to Ukraine than the US has.

This is why the democrats are already moving back to "well, he hasn't shown us his taxes".

Except... no, they aren't.
