I'm on an SNRI (Effexor). When I went to the doctor during MS4 to finally get medicated, I asked for Effexor specifically because I had heard it had less sexual side effects/weight gain than SSRIs, even though it's not first line. I didn't want to try Wellbutrin because I have anxiety too and we're classically taught that Wellbutrin isn't good for that. For the most part I think it's working for me - I don't have any significant side effects other than sweating a little more and taking a little longer to orgasm (but my sex drive is restored since my depression is better, go figure). I have heard the withdrawal syndrome is pretty bad so I'll have to really try to remember to take it on time when I start intern year in a few weeks.
