What video games where the general consensus is that they're "okay" or "average" do you love?

Fable 2 is probably one of my favorite games and man I just could not get enough of it. The aesthetic of the world was so unique compared to every other fantasy game ever released, and it’s just so charming and fun. Every item in the game having a fun little description tied to it full of surprisingly witty jokes and references was so unlike anything else at the time.

I can’t think of any other game with such well-crafted systems and mechanics for things that not many people really care about, like being able to flip shitty houses by redecorating them with better furniture and renting them out for different amounts of money that would affect your morality. Or how you could go to different towns and cities to buy goods and sell them in regions where there were shortages for profit.

And for it’s time the combat was pretty fun even though you can pretty much just press one button in every encounter and win. They did give you a lot of options if you wanted to use them though, and your character actually scarring if you died and it making them less attractive to townspeople was a nice touch

The only real weakness of the game is the story, which is pretty shit and has garbage lore and characters and is better off just being ignored entirely.
