Backstory:

We live in, admittedly, an apartment that is well below where we could afford to be living but we're here out of convenience for my girlfriend's job. Over the past year, tenancy has plummeted and the renting company has combated that by offering housing to refugees at a reduced rate.

My girlfriend is the only name listed on the lease, so to the building management she is "a blasphemer" and so they got in the habit of calling her and harassing her weekly because apparently women can't be self sufficient? After I went down to the office and had some words with them, we never received another call.

I've had to take time off work because some of the refugee husbands who refuse to work will make uncomfortable comments to my gf like "when's your man gone?" to the point she no longer feels safe.

We also have the pleasure of dealing with their kids who go out of their way to try provoke my dog and in some cases the kids have even tried taking a swing at her. I understand that their culture is afraid of dogs and I've tried to bridge that gap by trying to teach them how to interact with an animal, but nope, they either shield themselves from my dog like she's a bomb about to go off or they try to attack her. They even tried banding together to get my dog removed from the building all together, despite her never barking, being aggressive or anything short of a big fluff ball.
