He can get wi fi signals with those ears

I really dislike the "cats don't care about people" myth that floats around both on the internet and in everyday life. If you ignore the poor thing 23.75 hours every day, of course it's going to find something else to do.

My cat greets me by the door every day when I get home from work. If he's sleeping, the second he hears me he will get up and come galloping through the house, tail up like a little antenna, meowing. But usually he's awake and pawing at the door trying to get to me faster.

He will come when called normally, but won't if he deems his activity to be too important to leave. I respect that and won't bother him if he doesn't want to come. I understand that the bluejay outside is really neat. But, I've developed a special tone I use only when I need him urgently (like if there's a bug or something). If I use this tone he will gallop to me no matter what. It can rouse him out of a deep sleep.

My cat has a huge amount of trust in me and I really try to do right by him. We've developed such a great relationship. He hovers around me 75% of the time I'm home. His birthday is in 14 days, he is turning 6, I almost can't believe it has only been 6 years.

Obligatory!
